From past few days i was busy with work and most of time i didn’t get enough time to get myself refreshed by some good movie or game. Reason? Damn there are only 24 hours in a day. Out of which 9 hours are required to sleep and out of left 15 hours most of time is spent
in office (courtesy to project deadline). Gosh! i was bored with this dull lifestyle. No movies, no games, no outing indirectly numb at my personal life end. So i followed someone’s idea of watching a serial. I started watching Dr. House but in 2 episodes i found it bit out of interest serial (at least for me). After couple of day i begin with Dexter to give it a try, and finally first season of is over now, which i enjoyed very very much. 
Here’s a gist:
Dexter Morgan, the central character of serial, is a very interesting character though. As normal humans don’t have, he had two life’s. At day time he’s living a life of a forensic expert working for Miami police department. He’s expert in recognizing the death scene incidents (mostly in order of incidents happened at crime) using blood spatters. The best thing he found in his job is his love for blood. Sounds abnormal? yes he is. Apart from normal activities Dex used to pretend a lot of thing which actually are not inside him. Few of them like love, affection and emotions. He can’t feel anything. And the most abnormal thing in him is his desire to kill people. That’s the beginning of his second life. The life of a serial killer. Awkward huh!..At day time he’s catching criminals and at night time he’s catching victims? yes actually, but these victims are not normal innocent people. He only kill’s those people who deserve to be dead, those who twisted the law and justice and proved them self to be innocent, but actually are not. He kill’s them so perfectly that there is on clue left. It seems the Dex victims just disappear because there is nothing left about them, no blood spot, no evidence, practically nothing. Dex was so perfect because his father taught him actually how to kill cleanly. Actually Dex was adopted by a police officer. His father loved him so much and that’s why Dex share every little secret of his life, even his desire to kill people also. But his father taught him principles too, principle of not killing innocent people with no cause.
Apart from these Dex had a sister who’s a cop, working with him actually and a girlfriend who matches his criteria, because she’s little reluctant for love and so do Dex.
The first few episodes of season 1 makes the base of Dex and other characters around him. But after 4-5 episodes another serial killer challenged him by providing him clue to catch him. The killer is popularly name Ice Truck Killer. And at the end he kidnapped Deb (dex sister).
Would dex saved her sister? Answer is in serial only … Overall it’s a very good watch (and not as addictive as prison break was)
